With a particular emphasis on identifying and responding to clinical deterioration in accordance with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care Standards (2017), this course continues to develop the student's capacity to conduct an extensive and methodical person-centered assessment.

This course addresses current concerns related to advancing from student nurse to graduate nurse and seeks to prepare students for a fulfilling and long-lasting nursing profession.
The course will increase students' knowledge, abilities, and understanding of nursing principles and nursing solutions for supportive in-home care for those who are managing a chronic disease. This course will examine several frameworks for chronic disease while considering the dynamic interaction between age, culture, and bio-psychosocial requirements of individuals.
Through a lengthy time of clinical practice in a variety of clinical settings, this course consolidates the learning outcomes across the Bachelor of Nursing degree. It offers a chance to continue meeting the NMBA Registered Nurse Practice Standards (2016) and, in doing so, help final semester students gain the confidence and competence they need to transition from student to registered nurse.
