The Griffith University Bachelor of Nursing is offered full-time or part-time on-campus at the Gold Coast, Nathan, and Logan campuses. You will advance your talents through conical placements across the health sector, and you will have opportunities to begin rural, remote, and overseas inductions.
As a full-time student of Griffith University nursing, you will attend 15-20 hours of scheduled classes per week throughout the trimester. Classes might be scheduled during the day and evening throughout the week.
Year 12 or its equivalent.
Diploma of Health Care (from Griffith College), Diploma of Nursing from an accredited Australian Education Provider and unconditional registration (without restrictions) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
IELTS (Academic): A minimum overall score of 7.0 is achieved in each sitting and the applicant achieves a minimum of 7.0 in each component across the two sittings and no score in any component of the test is below 6.5
OET: The applicant is evaluated in all four components in each sitting and a minimum score of B in each component is achieved across the two sittings and no score in any component of the test is below C
PTE (Academic): A minimal overall score of 65 is performed in each sitting and the applicant performs a minimal of sixty-five in each of the communicative talents across the two sittings and no score in any part of the test is below 58
TOEFL: A minimal total score of 94 is performed in each sitting and the applicant achieves a minimal score of 24 for listening, twenty-four for reading, twenty-seven for writing and twenty-three for speaking across the two sittings and no score in any of the sections is below: 20 for listening | 19 for reading | 24 for writing | 20 for speaking.

The course explains human anatomy and physiology to students. Students will obtain the knowledge of key physiological principles, organisational levels in the body, structure and function of the normal human body, and the relevance of such ability to nursing practice.
The course explains models of communications to students and explores factors that promote or hinder communication. Students will advance their academic, therapeutic, as well as interprofessional communication talents, along with information and communication technology skills needed for nursing in a digital age.
The uses, effects, and actions of drugs are covered in this course, which builds a solid basis in pharmacology. To apply their knowledge and execute safe drug administration methods in clinical practice, students will learn about the duties of the Registered Nurse.
Students' understanding of the structure and operation of the typical human body, including homeostasis in the regulation of metabolism, normal body temperature, and fluid and electrolyte balance, is further developed in this course. These skills will be used by students in their nursing practice.

The main emphasis is on cellular-based infectious illnesses, microbiology, and medical conditions.
Students are introduced to the Australian legal system, laws, and organizations for healthcare professionals in this introductory course. For students to use these concepts to address moral and legal conundrums in healthcare practice, it covers the legal and ethical principles that support safe and reasoned decision-making.

Students complete 80 hours of clinical experience to gain nursing skills appropriate for second-year students.

Graduates from all health professions can take this course to learn how to treat First Peoples of Australia in a way that respects their culture. Students will be assisted in applying the previously covered competencies of respect, communication, safety and quality, critical reflection, and advocacy in First Peoples' health contexts to foster the development of cultural competencies that reflect a lifelong journey and are put to the test in every interaction.
