Aligned with quality and safety principles, opportunities are provided for students to explore and develop nursing knowledge and foundational skills for the provision of person-centered care, paying attention to the older person and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, other cultures, and people of diversity.
By critically examining the idea of cultural safety, this unit aims to introduce students enrolled in a health-related course to the capabilities necessary to provide safe, accessible, and responsive healthcare that is free of racism to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
With the homeostasis of the internal environment as the overarching theme, this unit builds on the structure and function of the human body covered in "Anatomy and Physiology 1."
Students will use person-centered care, therapeutic interprofessional and interprofessional communication, safety and quality principles, and previous units' foundational knowledge to advance their understanding of how to support people of all ages, with an emphasis on older adults.
The goal of this unit is to introduce new nurses to primary healthcare for the entire lifespan and how it applies to nursing contexts at the local, state, federal, and worldwide levels.

The person-centered care for mental health across the lifespan, from infancy to older adulthood, is examined in this unit. To improve the students' understanding of mental disease, the unit will investigate mental health illnesses while combining neurobiology, pathophysiology, and population health.
The course examines the use of a person-centered approach in current nursing care for patients with chronic as well as acute illnesses throughout the lifespan. The unit will investigate the linked underlying pathophysiological ideas, processes, progression, and problems.
Students will get the chance to combine nursing care and management learned in Contemporary Nursing A and B and Contemporary Nursing and Mental Health A by providing person-centered care in a professional practice setting.
Students will incorporate and expand their understanding of mental health in this course as they apply it to various healthcare settings. Students will gain knowledge of the supports and impediments to aided decision-making, as well as consumer choice and dignity.
This unit gives students the chance to integrate the principles of nursing care and management learned in HNB2002 Contemporary Nursing and Mental Health A, HNB2005 Contemporary Nursing and Mental Health B, and HNB2001 Contemporary Nursing A in a mental health setting by providing person-centered care within a professional practice environment.
This lesson broadens students' understanding of how research is conducted and how it relates to evidence-based medicine. It considers a wide range of research procedures, perspectives, and approaches that are now used in nursing and midwifery research.
By combining the theoretical and clinical information and abilities acquired in preceding units, this Cornerstone unit serves as a culminating and integrative experience for learning across second year nursing.
By revisiting the concepts of person-centered care for specialist areas like pediatrics, elderly care, and high dependency/critical care, this unit will consolidate and expand upon information that has been introduced in previous units.
Students implement knowledge, integrate theory, and reflect on practice from earlier units to the PEP environment in this lesson. In nursing specialty areas, students will explicitly concentrate on the community's health needs to use higher-level analytical thinking and practice through reflection.
The goal of the unit is to help senior nursing students make the transition from student to licensed nurse. It emphasizes the duties and roles of the starting practitioner as a qualified, secure, and self-assured registered nurse.
The information and abilities learned in Contemporary Nursing A and B, Nursing and Mental Health A and B, and Professional Experience Placement 2 and 3 are built upon in this subject. The pathophysiology and pharmacotherapeutics that underpin evidence-based nursing care and treatment will be studied by the students.
Students will learn about chronic disease experiences and how they affect individual families and the healthcare system in this course. Students will use care management concepts for the family, community, and person across their lifetime.
The skills that students had previously learned in their courses are integrated in this unit of study, which also prepares future health professionals for work in an interprofessional context.
As aspiring registered nurses, students will reflect on their practice in this course and acknowledge their obligation to pursue lifelong learning. Students will receive assistance in creating an extensive portfolio that highlights their interdisciplinary professional skills and practical knowledge.
