COVID Concession: Subclass 482 Short term stream visa holders will be able to apply for permanent resident visa through the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS), Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) stream. This pathway will only be accessible for two years from its commencement on 1 July 2022.

Subclass 482 visa holder in Labour Agreement stream can apply for permanent residence visa if the provision to apply for PR was contained in the labour agreement approval.

For the applicants who hold subclass 482 visa in Medium Term Stream, the following conditions will need to be met:

• You have 6.0 each in IELTS or equivalent in PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, CAE or OET.

For the applicants who hold subclass 482 visa in Labour Agreement Stream, the following conditions will need to be met:

• The visa holder has worked for the nominating employer for 3 years.
• The visa holder has worked on the nominating position for 3 years.
• You have received the salary as per your job contract when you was granted subclass 482 visa.
• You have 6.0 each in IELTS or equivalent in PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, CAE or OET if your labour agreement does not exempt from English language competency requirement.
